This is the price for ingot-grade aluminium scrap such as extrusion cuttings, window sections and clean profiles. Secondary smelters and die-casters melt it into alloy ingots for auto parts, so it is one of the most liquid scrap grades in India.
Tin fell about 5% and lead, zinc, nickel and aluminium each lost at least 1% on Thursday as oil jumped and equities fell. Prices steadied on Friday. Aluminium is trading below its levels earlier in the year.
